At the Luddenham show I entered 2 projects I have painted.
The Rooster in the section; Decorative Folk Art and the Swallow Cottage in the section; Original design.
I am quite happy to say that both recieved Third place!
This design is an adaptation of a design from an American book; Sharing Gifts of Nature by Barb Halvorson, published by Viking folk art. In the book the rooster is painted on a saw, titled Rooster.
The Mountains and Rivers have sponsored some sections of Folk Art in the local shows so that people will be encouraged to enter Folk Art and Decorative Painting into these shows. The next one coming up in April will be the Camdon show, entries close on the 31st March, contact Camdon show for details.
